We all go through stressful and trying times, and I work collaboratively with individuals to help them get through such times. Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, or the many other common difficult emotions and life experiences, I believe we can all overcome challenges.
Utilizing an eclectic approach to the treatment of mental health, including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and Positive Psychology, I believe that understanding and processing our struggles taps into our strengths and assists us in moving forward. I often utilize creative activities suited to each individual in tandem with traditional talk therapy, as some things are better able to be expressed without words.
I utilize an intersectional lens when conceptualizing what different areas may be impacting an individual. I am an advocate for equity and social justice, which is an important value I hold when serving others, as you are the expert on your own story and life experiences.
I am open to working with individuals of all backgrounds and ages, and take pride in cultivating a safe space for everyone I come into contact with. I look forward to helping you get to a place where your mind can shine!
Kayla Jackson offers online therapy sessions through scheduled appointments. All Westside providers have access to HIPAA compliant and secure teleconferencing software to protect client privacy. Instructions to access a scheduled session will be sent directly by the provider leading up to the appointment.
